Chile's GTD Manquehue is rolling fiber in Santa Maria de Manquehue, Vitacura and Benoit has the picture to prove it, via Beate Sisenop. Manquehue was created by the local real estate developer, and was the first DSL provider in Chile in 2000. Now part of the GTD Group, the fiber build is expected to reach other parts of Santiago in 2009. The equipment is Alcatel GPON, capable of 200 megabit speeds. They expect to only sell triple play, at a price "not much more expensive than the plans currently offered."
